We proudly wrapped up another successful SUCAS program at Pete McGuinness Older Adult Center with “The Neighborhood Photo Quilt” — a collaborative art project honoring the past, present, and future of Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Over six weeks, our seniors engaged in photography and fiber art techniques, creating a meaningful quilt. Using both sourced and self-taken photos, they designed a piece that reflects the spirit of their community — stitched together with creativity, storytelling, and shared memories.
The result? A beautiful blend of visual storytelling and fiber work, woven from memory, imagination, and community care.
At the final session, SUCAS representative Skye Kowaleski congratulated our seniors on their achievements and expressed support for organizing future creative projects at Pete McGuinness.
Stay tuned for more inspiring programs and events!
