Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens’ Pete McGuinness Older Adult Center held a celebration last month in honor of Older Americans Month. The day began with a fitness class, followed by an inspiring session with a nutritionist. We welcomed guests and seniors with warm wishes to mark this important occasion.
A delicious, homemade lunch was served, specially prepared for the honored guests. The artistic part of the event began with an energetic Latin dance demonstration and lesson led by instructor Desiree. Following the performance, a joyful picnic-themed party took place, featuring fancy hats and a festive raffle. Seniors enjoyed a glass of non-alcoholic champagne, cake, ice cream, and aromatic coffee — all accompanied by beautiful music played by the one and only DJ Tomasz Hałat.
The event brought together a large group of participants and created an atmosphere filled with warmth, joy, and celebration. The seniors enthusiastically expressed their gratitude for being part of such a vibrant, heartfelt, and lively event.
