Catholic Charities Neighborhood Services’ Best Life Older Adult Center recreated the iconic TV show Soul Train at the center, celebrating African-American culture through music and dance from the 1970s and 1980s. Best Life seniors performed classic hits including “Respect” by Aretha Franklin and “Proud Mary” by Tina Turner to name a few.
The event also featured the Soul Train dancers which included one of the original dancers, with more than 50 seniors participating in the production. A total of 259 people attended this spectacular and energetic celebration, making it a huge success for everyone involved!
A special thanks to Maya and to Merlene for the games donated to the center.
