CCBQ’s Community Program Services recently held its Pajama Storytime session at the Sheltering Arms Malcolm X Early Childhood Education Center in Corona, Queens. The Pajama Storytime Through Reading initiative helped bring families together. This workshop offered families the opportunity to bond over crafts, reading and music, demonstrating the power of Pajama Storytime Through Reading for children and parents alike. Families enjoyed a reading of How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night? by Jane Yolen and Mark Teague and also learned about shapes in an arts and crafts session. These events are designed to promote literacy and family connection. Each child went home with a book and one lucky winner won a sing-along book and Target gift card.
