Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens Wins Prestigious 2013 PRSA Big Apple Award

CCBQ is the proud winner of the 2013 New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA-NY) Big Apple Award for its 2011 Annual Report, titled Preserving Dignity. PRSA-NY presented winners of PRSA-NY’s 2013 Big Apple Awards at an awards gala in the Mandarin Hotel on May 23rd, celebrating the great work and best practices of the best and brightest PR professionals.
As the toughest peer-judged awards in the industry, the Big Apple Awards recognizes excellence in public relations in the tri-state area.
Award winners and honorable mentions were also recognized during the Gala.  Overall winners for the Best Use of Research and Best of the Best were also named at that time. Additionally, winners of the 2013 John W. Hill, Philip Dorf and President’s Awards were honored for their industry leadership and contributions to the practice of public relations.
“Yet again, the Big Apple entries represent the best in NY-area public relations,” said Big Apple Co-Chair Ken Scudder, “and the finalists are truly the cream of the crop.”  Big Apple Co-Chair, President-Elect of the NY Chapter of PRSA and President of Feintuch Communications, Henry Feintuch added, “This year’s entries were very strong, making for an exceptionally difficult but rewarding judging process. The finalist entries provide a vivid example of everything right about the public relations profession and the value that PR practitioners provide to their respective organizations.”
