Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens along with Catholic Migration Services and Faith in New York (formerly, Queens Congregations United for Action)recently hosted a joint event for those impacted by Hurricane Sandy. The event, which was funded by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Catholic Campaign for Human Development, provided community members with information and services on disaster assistance, case management, immigration legal assistance, counseling resources, free/affordable healthcare and public policy advocacy.
