Creating a Healthy Mind and Spirit with Mental Health First Aid Training

CCBQ actively seeks ways to create a healthy mind and spirit. Most recently, CCBQ’s Community Program Services hosted a two-part series on Mental Health First Aid Training for participants of the Relatives as Parents Program (R.A.P.P.) Held at Riverdale Osborne Towers in Brownsville, Brooklyn, Yunis Esa from ThriveNYC (NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s mental health initiative) taught our caregivers support methods to care for those suffering with addiction, anxiety, panic attacks and suicide. Upon completion of the course, participants were presented with a Mental Health First Aid Training Certificate, $25 TD gift cards and a graduation that included brunch from Panera Bread (yum!) An additional thanks to Maxine Davis from Empire BlueCross BlueShield for providing resources and fun giveaways.
