CCBQ’s Community Program Services Grandmothers as Mothers Again (G.A.M.A.) group recently gathered at the Catholic Charities Pierrepont House for the Elderly in Brooklyn, where they discussed self-expression and their favorite ways to kick back and relax. Some members expressed their joy for playing instruments; while others enjoy watching Netflix (we too enjoy a good Netflix binge!) After the share session, members were greeted by guest speaker Judith Riveria from Girl Scouts of Greater New York. Ms Riveria discussed how to start a troop, traveling and camping. To conclude, the group read an article on the importance of grandparents and spoke candidly about the struggles of raising their grandchildren.
