CCBQ’s Community Program Services has been hosting Family Reading at Pajama Storytime sessions at the Riverdale Obsorne Towers in Brownsville, Brooklyn and the Catholic Charities Therese Cervini Early Childhood Development Center in Corona, Queens. Parents are learning the importance of establishing a reading routine at bedtime. These workshops creates a great atmosphere for participants to read “Llama Llama Red Pajama” by the late Anna Dewdney and “Eating the Alphabet” by Lois Ehlert. To continue the habit of reading at home, families went home with copies of the book. Moreover, Family Reading at Pajama Storytime is supported by funding in part from the Maternity and Early Childhood Foundation.
