Catholic Charities Encourages Family Reading at Pajama Storytime

CCBQ’s Community Program Services has been hosting Pajama Storytime sessions at the Riverdale Obsorne Towers in Brownsville, Brooklyn and the Catholic Charities Therese Cervini Early Childhood Development Center in Corona, Queens. Parents are learning the importance of establishing a reading routine including reading at bedtime. Participants read “Llama Llama Red Pajama” by the late Anna Dewdney and “Eating the Alphabet” by Lois Ehlert. To continue the habit of reading at home, families went home with copies of the book. These workshops are funded in part by the Maternity and Early Childhood Foundation.
