Proceeds to Benefit 160+ Programs and Services
On Thursday, June 26, 2025, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens hosted its annual Bishop Joseph M. Sullivan and Peter J. Striano Memorial Golf Classic. This year’s outing, hosted at North Hills Country Club in Manhasset, had more than 130 golfers participate in an 18-hole tournament. The golf classic raised $180,000 through the tremendous generosity of supporters and players.
Golfers received a complimentary duffle bag, visor, golf balls, and breakfast, then set out on the course at 11 a.m. After a lunch on the course and 18 holes of golf, golfers and supporters attended a cocktail reception and buffet dinner, with the opportunity to participate in a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.
The proceeds of this event significantly impact the services we offer to our clients. With the support received, our services will be more accessible and beneficial to families throughout our communities. The organization provides a range of services that help families get a head start in life, including counseling, education, and community outreach programs.
“What you do here today is of critical importance, because it helps us cover the expenses that we incur in providing care for the people in Brooklyn and Queens,” said Reverend Monsignor Alfred P. LoPinto, President and Chief Executive Officer, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens and Affiliated Agencies. “We are able to provide necessary support, such as giving out food and building more housing.”
Thanks to all who participated and donated to the golf classic, Catholic Charities can continue to provide incredible programs and assistance to Brooklyn and Queens. Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens would like to thank its sponsors for their generous support, which helped make this year’s charity golf tournament a success.
