Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens proudly celebrated the 92nd day of school with the students and staff of PS 92Q, marking another milestone in our ongoing partnership to support youth, families, and school communities. To honor the day, our CCBQ Health & Wellness Team delivered an engaging and informative presentation on Behavioral Addictions, a topic that continues to grow in importance as young people navigate an increasingly digital and fast‑paced world.

During the session, students learned how everyday habits—such as internet use, gaming, food choices, exercise routines, and even shopping behaviors—can influence their overall well‑being. The presentation emphasized that becoming aware of these patterns is often the first and most empowering step toward building healthier routines. By helping students recognize the difference between balanced habits and potentially harmful ones, our team encouraged them to make thoughtful decisions that support their mental, emotional, and physical health.

To reinforce the message, our staff provided a brain‑boosting, nutrient‑rich snack, giving students a delicious and practical example of how small choices can fuel focus, energy, and learning. The activity sparked meaningful conversations about self‑care, mindfulness, and the importance of nourishing both body and mind.

This event reflects Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens’ ongoing commitment to fostering resilience, education, and community connection. Through our Community Outreach Services, we work closely with schools, families, and local partners to offer workshops, resources, and supportive programs that uplift individuals of all ages.
