Do you have an hour per week to brighten the life of an older adult? Southwest Queens Senior Services is seeking volunteers to visit homebound seniors. Many of our seniors have outlived their spouses and their friends and are grateful to have the companionship of a member of our team. We carefully match each volunteer with an elder who has similar interests. Over time, meaningful relationships develop, which both parties find rewarding. Our Friendly Visiting volunteers tell us that, in the process, their lives have changed as well.

Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Dependable
- Warm, Kind, and Caring
- Non-Judgemental and Patient
- Good Communication Skills
- Available to make a difference 1-hour per week
