St. John’s University Freshmen Volunteer with CCBQ

St. John’s University students volunteered at two Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens’ programs as part of the Freshmen Rendu Service Experience. Ten students visited the Catholic Charities Msgr. Burke Apartments in Brooklyn to build a beautiful garden. Supplies for this project was donated by our Corporate Partner The Home Depot. Sixteen more students volunteered at the Catholic Charities Flatbush Addition Treatment Center. They worked with Emily Tweedy, Art Therapist from the Center, to paint the center bright colors, making it a therapeutic and healing place for guests. Supplies for this project was generously donated by The Sherwin-Williams Paint Company. All residents and visitors loved the new makeovers and appreciate the hard work of St. John ‘s University!
