Welcome, Integrate, Promote, Accompaniment (WIPA) Workforce Trainings

As part of our integration of this community, we offer workforce training centers that allow our new arrivals with work permits to have access to employment opportunities and integration into our communities.

WIPA offers pathways for workforce trainings in high demand services, including:

 

  • Construction
  • OSHA 30, Site Safety Training (SST), DOB Flaggers, Scaffold
  • Handyman and Building Care
  • National Certification in Construction Engineering and Research (NCCER)
 
  • Personal Care
  • Elder Care, Childcare, CPR
  • Cleaning
  • Residential, Commercial, Janitorial
 
  • Entrepreneurial
    trainings
  • Soaps and Candles workshop

 

 

These trainings all include financial literacy, employability, Know Your Rights (KYRs) and family preparedness workshops. Participants will also receive case management with services for basic needs and direct referral to:

 

  • Legal Services
  • English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Emergency Food Relief, Food Pantries, Hot Meals, and Clothing Centers
