Did you know that every year on September 15th, families of the Chinese and Vietnamese cultures gather together to celebrate the Mooncake Festival? Mooncake Festival 2019 was a particularly memorable celebration. This day marks the end of the autumn harvest and is traditionally a time to give thanks to the gods. Members of the Catholic Charities Narrows Senior Center in Brooklyn celebrated the special day with music, dancing and a beautiful musical performance by our very own talented group of seniors honoring the tradition of admiring the moon while indulging in delicious mooncakes.
