Get Your Flu Shot Today!

Did you know that flu season usually starts sometime in October and can last until May? That’s why it’s SO important to get vaccinated early. Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens Community Outreach Services recently partnered with Trinity Pharmacy to administer 27 flu shots to residents of the Catholic Charities Msgr. Campbell Apartments in Astoria, Queens. Our residents were very happy for Catholic Charities On-Site Flu Clinic!

Get your flu shot today to avoid hospitalization, worsening of chronic illnesses, bacterial pneumonia and ear and sinus infections. A common misconception is that you can contract the flu from a flu vaccine, but that myth has been debunked, as the shot only uses a deadened form of the virus.

Since the pandemic began, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has provided much-needed food packages and services at 49 Catholic Charities parish-based food pantries, and in total, the agency distributed over $6 million in food assistance. Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens continues to deliver mental health counseling, housing services, family services and early childhood education. In addition, we are pleased to offer COVID vaccines at a variety of local events and locations. A full list can be found at www.ccbq.org/liveitup.
