The Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens Seaside Older Adult Center hosted a important and informative Emergency Preparedness Seminar, courtesy of the Citizen Preparedness Corps.
A wide range of topics were covered with the members of the center, including what materials one should have on hand and stashed away in case of an emergency, such as personal documents containing phone contacts, medical history, bank information and local maps, to name a few.
It is always useful to be given pointers on what to do in case of emergency, and the members of the center were happy to have the opportunity to learn and have their questions answered,
