COVID Has Changed So Much of Our Everyday Life, Catholic Charities Helped Our Community Cope

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens provided emotional support through the pandemic via NY Project Hope, New York State’s COVID-19 crisis counseling program. Individuals were supported through our helpline and Call Center.

Since the pandemic began, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has provided much-needed food packages and services at 52 Catholic Charities parish-based food pantries, and in total, the agency distributed $7.5 million in food assistance. Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens continues to deliver mental health counseling, housing services, family services and early childhood education.
