Catholic Charities Young Adult Internship Program is currently accepting applications for paid internships. Interns will be paid a the minimum wage rate earning approximately $2,800 for a 14-week program. The program goes from November 24, 2014 through February 17, 2015. Participants will work 25 hours per week. The first round application deadline is October 20, so act fast!
The Young Adult Internship Program (YAIP) a 14-week program that includes three weeks of paid orientation followed by 11 weeks of internship experience and educational workshops. Upon completion of the internship, Catholic Charities YAIP will provide nine months of follow-up services and help ensure placement of intern graduates in permanent jobs, training programs and/or educations settings.
To be eligible, the young adult has to be between the ages of 16-24, live in New York City, and be out of school, out of work and out of training since July 1st, 2014 —if he or she participated in a summer employment program this summer, they are ineligible.
