Wellness event held at Blessed Sacrament church in Brooklyn

Last month, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens Community Health and Wellness Services hosted a health fair at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn. The Live it Up Community Wellness event featured interactive health and wellness stations for blood pressure screenings, COVID boosters, testing and flu shots. Each guest received free giveaways and a dairy box filled with nutritious food items including milk, eggs, rice and fresh fruits and vegetables to support families and individuals fighting rising food costs caused by inflation.

Partner organizations included Oak Street Health, Empire BlueCross/BlueShield, Village CareMax, NYC Office of Emergency Management, Department of Transportation Safety and ClearCaptions.

The Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens Mobile Outreach Services team was also on site to assist in the afternoon activities.
