Catholic Charities Helps Children Go Back to School

As children return to school, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens recently hosted a free community event at the Catholic Charities Our Lady of Angels Human Service Center in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Hundreds of parents and children participated in this exciting day while receiving important information on safety, health and voter registration. Children received free school supplies, some of which were donated by the offices of New York State Senator Martin J. Golden, New York City Councilman Vincent J. Gentile, Fidelis Care New York and numerous community partners. The day included a magic show by Brooklyn Cyclones Magician “King Henry” as well as face painting, arts and crafts, and many other fun and educational activities for children to enjoy.
