Catholic Charities Continues in the Fight to End Hunger

CCBQ’s Community Programming Services recently attended the 2019 NYC’s Conference on Hunger and Poverty presented by the Food Bank For New York City at the New York Marriott Marquis. This year’s theme was “Be The One” ― there is a lot to be done to continue to fight hunger, food insecurity and inequity in the five boroughs. Guest speakers included Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and Former U.S. Representative Charles Rangel. Later in the day was a resourceful panel on food insecurity and social issues, moderated by Political Anchor Spectrum News NY1 Errol Louis, President & CEO of the Food Bank For New York City Margarette Purvis, CEO of City Harvest Jilly Stephens and President and CEO of United Way of New York City Sheena Wright.
