Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens Distributes Turkeys and Fixings to Families in Need for Thanksgiving

On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens distributed 300 Thanksgiving meals to those in need this Thanksgiving season. In memory of their parents, 700 turkeys were generously donated by Alphonse and Maria Catanese and Family, ALMAR Realty Solutions, Fivecat Management Group, AEA Logistics Inc. and Jemma Construction Corp. Families received turkey dinner fixings, provided by the Catholic Charities Food Pantry Network, which included fresh potatoes, squash, instant stuffing, gravy, corn muffin mix and additional fresh fruits and vegetables at the Resurrection-Ascension Catholic Church in Rego Park, Queens. Thank you to our volunteers from CCBQ, the community, Staples and St. John’s University for helping to pack and distribute items for families in need.
An additional distribution will take place on Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Jerome’s Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn.
