Encouraging Breast Cancer Awareness with Free Mammograms

Women age 40 and over should have mammograms routinely to detect early signs of breast cancer. It can be difficult to carve time out from a busy schedule to visit a doctor’s office. That’s why CCBQ’s Community Program Services partnered with The Mount Sinai Hospital’s Mobile Mammography Program to provide community members at the Riverdale Osborne Towers in Brownsville, Brooklyn with free mammogram screenings. The mobile mammography clinic was equipped with top-of-the-line digital mammography technology that provided women with safe and secure on-the-spot screenings.
