Recap of Christmas Festivities Across Catholic Charities Programs

At Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, Christmas cheer was spread across its 160+ programs for those young and young at heart. Everyone celebrated the holidays with festive cheer, in good company and helping neighbors in need.

Older adults at the Catholic Charities Older Adult Centers celebrated with friends, dancing their afternoons away and taking part in delicious Christmas feasts at their respective centers. Our older adult centers were fortunate enough to count on new and loyal volunteers to make their celebrations a special one. They even had volunteer drivers and delivery personnel who helped them bring their feasts to homebound adults.

Children from our Early Childhood Development Centers were joined by their families for some Christmas fun. Together they participated in holiday arts and crafts, built gingerbread houses and received a visit from Santa himself. Participating families also took photos with Santa to remember the joyous occasion.

Throughout each program, clients were able to gather in community and create new memories with their peers.
