The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a consultant to program management on human resource-related issues, assesses and anticipates HR-related needs.  Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and program management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the mission of the Agency.  The HRBP demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.  The HRBP is the primary department liaison for assigned program services group and provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. The HRBP participates in regular meetings with program staff.



Master’s degree with 3 to 5 years of HR generalist experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree with 8 to 10 years of progressive HR experience required. SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP certified required.

Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

Excellent communication skills Thorough technical knowledge of government regulations, trends and prevailing practices in the non-profit sector. Data analysis skills, including use of computer software tools. Detail oriented with high attention to accuracy. Excellent computer skills; proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with HRIS preferable.
