Family & Youth Support Centers are a general preventive program for families with children under the age of 18, and is designed to address the safety and well-being of children in high-risk families during crisis situations when a caretaker places the child at risk of foster care placement. Services include individual and family counseling, domestic violence counseling, case management, behavior management, school advocacy, home visits, referral services, parent skills training and more.
Eligibility: Pregnant women and families with at least one child under the age of 18, who are at risk of foster care placement due to identified risk factors which include, but are not limited to: domestic violence, child abuse or neglect, parent-child conflict, child acting out at home/school, substance abuse, etc. A family may also qualify if a family member is on trial discharge from foster care services in order to reunite the family and prevent replacement.
Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, times vary by location.
