HELP SAVE OST PROGRAMS FOR OUR KIDS!
Memorial Day Weekend began on a hopeful note as children and parents from PS 50's OST after school program in Jamaica, Queens, took a chance and marched into Councilman Ruben Will's office late Friday afternoon.
The group's mission was to tell Councilman Wills to help save the PS 50 OST program that will be cut if Mayor Bloomberg's proposed budget is passed in June. The group was triumphant in their goal as Councilman Wills was very receptive and listened to our OST children read letters to him, which asked him to help save their program. They eloquently finished by chanting a song that included the words " Ruben Wills save our program, Ruben Wills help us stop these cuts".
