The Open Door Psychosocial Club provides rehabilitation services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. The program is open to adults 18 and over. The overall goals of the program are to facilitate healthy socialization within the community, to develop basic work skills, to improve members' ability to live and function independently, and to reduce psychiatric hospitalizations. These goals are addressed on both an individual and a group basis, with group being the primary modality. Group topics include medication management, time and money management, relapse prevention, smoking cessation, wellness management and men's and women's groups.
The Open Door Psychosocial Club is open to adults who suffer from serious and persistent mental illness, 18 and older, servicing the borough of Brooklyn.
