Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens is partnering with the New York City Census to make sure everyone is represented so that Brooklyn and Queens can receive the political and financial benefits that we deserve. Correct census results allow our communities to receive funds that shape our local healthcare, housing, education, economic development, social services, transportation, employment and public policy.
Every 10 years, the United States requires a count of all adults and children living within the United States as of April 1st, regardless of citizenship status, age or place of residence. This count will help determine the apportionment of 435 congressional seats and the distribution of more than $650 billion in federal funding.
Participants will be able to complete the census online, by phone, by paper questionnaire and through a designated Census Taker.
**All are encouraged to self-respond in order to avoid a home-visit by a Census Taker.**
