Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens is one of seven major non-profit agencies that administer The New York Times Neediest Cases Fund to thousands in need of assistance. For the past 100 years, the Neediest Cases Fund and Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens have provided for people from all walks of life—turning desperation into hope.
To celebrate the centennial anniversary of the Neediest Cases Campaign, The New York Times will publish 100 articles appearing daily from November 6, 2011 through February 10, 2012, featuring inspiring stories of those who have been helped. The first article of the campaign featured The McMillan family, who were helped by Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens. The New York Times will also feature videos of those who have been helped in the past, and how their lives have changed for the better.
