The Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens Web site, developed by Sanky Net, was recently recognized by the Web Marketing Association and was presented with Non-Profit Standard of Excellence WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development. The 15thAnnual International WebAward Competition is the premier award recognition program for Web developers and marketers worldwide. The standards that were judged included layout, content and ease of use for the intended target audience.
With the re-designed Web site launched earlier this year by SankyNet, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has experienced a dramatic increase in Web viewership from 6,000 views per month to nearly 40,000 views. Through the Web site, www.ccbq.org, Catholic Charities is able to link thousands of individuals every day to much-needed services and provide access to our nearly 180 programs serving families, children and youth, older adults, refugees, new immigrants, persons with disabilities, those struggling with mental illness, and the formerly homeless—in short, the most vulnerable.
Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association’s annual WebAward Competition has been setting the standard of excellence for Web site development. Independent expert judges from around the world review sites in 96 industries. The best are recognized with a WebAward which helps interactive professionals promote themselves, their companies, and their best work to the outside world.
