Catholic Charities Hosts “Kids Fun Days” in Queens

To get families ready for “back-to-school,” CatholicCharities is hosting our Third Annual Catholic Charities Kids Fun Day today and tomorrow.

This event, held in Astoria and Hollis, features a variety of children’s activities and free back to school supplies.  It is aimed at helping parents in this tough economy ensure that their kids have the necessary supplies to return to school next month.

Our community partners, such as The Home Depot and North Shore Animal League, are offering workshops, arts and crafts, and giveaways.  This year, the North Shore Animal League is also hosting a pet adoption drive for animal adoptions. The event is part of the Catholic Charities “Pathways to Self-Sufficiency” series, and is co-sponsored by Fidelis Care.

Please stay tuned to NY1 tonight for wonderful news coverage of our Kids Fun Day.
