Catholic Charities Blood Drive: August 18, 2011

Once again, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens will sponsor the Greater New York Blood Donor Campaign on Thursday, August 18th at ST. FRANCIS COLLEGE, located at 180 Remsen Street, (between Court & Clinton Streets), around the corner from our main office at 191 Joralemon Street. The hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

New York City presently faces an emergency shortage of blood. The situation is critical. To meet the challenge of saving lives, we ask that you make our staff aware of this urgent need. A blood donation is an incredibly valuable gift, an opportunity to share life.

In addition, to the many personal rewards one receives by participating in this worthy endeavor, we are granting ONE COMPENSATORY DAY OFF to each employee who contributes one pint of blood, provided the day selected meets with supervisory approval, does not violate a contractual arrangement and does not adversely affect those we serve.

Employees are asked to confirm participation as soon as possible by clicking here. For more information, contact Zulayka Adamson in the Office of Development and Communications at zadamson@ccbq.orgor via phone at 718-722-6024 by Monday, August 15, 2011 by Noon
