Catholic Charities' 63rd Annual Bishop’s Reception Most Successful in 10 Years

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens set a fundraising record at its annual Bishop’s Testimonial Award Reception on Wednesday, November 9, at Stage 6 at Steiner Studios. The agency surpassed the performance of the past decade with unprecedented sponsorships and support. All funds raised will benefit much needed programs and services for thousands throughout Brooklyn and Queens.
Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio, Bishop of Brooklyn, Robert Siebel, Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Charities, and Msgr. Alfred LoPinto, Vicar for Human Services, Diocese of Brooklyn, presented two Catholic Charities Progress of Peoples Awards that evening: one to Nicholas Lembo, founder and president of Monadnock Construction, Inc. and the other to MDG Design and Construction, LLC. The Ubi Caritas Deus Ibi Award was presented to Retired Auxilary Bishop of Brooklyn, Most Reverend Guy A. Sansaricq. With over 250 guests in attendance at the event, a 50/50 raffle was won by Anthony LaBella, Jr., Bay Ridge Security.
The agency is honored to have received such a strong level of support, particularly during this time of economic need, which will allow the agency to continue helping those that need it most.
