Bishop Joseph M. Sullivan Golf Classic to Benefit Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens

The 2011 Bishop Joseph M. Sullivan Golf Classic will be held Monday, September 26th, at Sands Point Golf Club, Sands Point, NY, to benefit Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens’ nearly 180 programs and services for children and youth, adults and seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those who are mentally ill, isolated or formerly homeless.
Attended by many executives from the New York metropolitan area, including Golf Classic Committee Members: Bruce Arella of Gen Spring; John J. Farrell; Joseph Saggesse; Charles F. Murphy of Turner Construction Company; Peter Striano of Unity International Group; and Darrell W. Upson of Ameriprise Financial Services. Ken Rosato, Anchor, WABC-TV Eyewitness News, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
At the magnificent 18-hole Sands Point golf course, the format will be a Shotgun Start at 11:15 a.m. The day will feature a breakfast buffet at 9 a.m., cocktail reception and dinner at 4:30 p.m., a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, prizes and awards. The Bishop Joseph M. Sullivan Golf Classic was named in honor of Bishop Sullivan, Retired Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Bishop Sullivan, this year, is celebrating fifty years as a member of the Catholic Charities family. He is also president of the Catholic Charities Board of Trustees.
