On Wednesday, June 4, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens will host the 2014 Bishop’s Humanitarian Award Dinner at Pier Sixty in Manhattan, a dinner that is held annually for more than 20 years through the generous support of concerned individuals and organizations who champion the Agency’s mission on behalf of children, adults, older adults, persons with developmental disabilities and those struggling with mental illness.
The Bishop’s Humanitarian Award is the highest tribute given by Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens. Honorees are selected based on their exemplary commitment to promoting excellence in their lives and throughout the community. Top leaders in New York City have received the Bishop’s Humanitarian Award in the dinner’s history.
At this year’s dinner, the Bishop’s Humanitarian Award will be presented to Anthony Cammarata Jr. Managing Director of Goldman, Sach’s & Co.
Catholic Charities will also be honoring William Traylor, President of the Richman Housing Resources, LLC with the Progress of Peoples Award; and for the first time ever, the Bishop Joseph M. Sullivan Service Award will be presented to John Tynan, Director of Catholic Charities Progress of Peoples Development Corporation.
Ken Rosato, anchor of WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News, will serve as Master-of-Ceremonies for the evening, and renowned Opera Tenor Christopher Macchio will provide entertainment to the more than 500 guests in attendance.
In addition to the presentation of the awards, the evening will feature cocktails, dinner and dancing. For more information on the Dinner, including sponsorship opportunities and journal ad placements, contact Mr. Martin Haggerty at 718-722-6099 or at Martin.Haggerty@ccbq.org.
