2012 Bishop’s Humanitarian Award Dinner Honors Ambassador Youssoufou Bamba and Michael Perrette

For their leadership and commitment to the well-being of those in need, Youssoufou Bamba, Permanent Representative of Côte d’Ivoire to the United Nations, and Michael Perrette, Vice President of Corporate Facilities and Services at Prudential, were honored by Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens at the Bishop’s Humanitarian Award Dinner at Pier Sixty in Manhattan, on May 22,  2012.
Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio, Ph.D., D.D., Bishop of Brooklyn, served as Honorary Chairman. The Dinner Chairpersons were: Catherine T. Giliberti, General Counsel, Saxon Harris Consulting, LLC; Charles F. Murphy, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Turner Construction Company; John J. Farrell, Executive Vice President of Human Resources, JP Morgan Chase, Retired; Peter J. Striano, President of Unity International; and Thomas K. Murtha, T. Kevin Murtha and Associates. Ken Rosato, Anchor of WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News (morning and noon editions) served as the Master of Ceremonies for this important fundraiser attended by over 400 guests. In addition to the presentation of the awards, the evening featured cocktails, dinner, dancing and a performance by renowned Opera Tenor Christopher Macchio.
