Responsibilities: 
  • Meet Agency requirements for qualitative and quantitative contacts with participants. Conducts telephone referrals, initial assessments of walk-ins, providing crisis intervention, providing treatment in various modalities and venues, providing advocacy and support. Responsible for all administrative and clinical documentation associated with direct service consumers. Maintain content and format of electronic case record according to regulatory guidelines.

 

  • Provide direct services including groups/classes and individual sessions with a focus on overcoming barriers to employment and capitalizing on individual strengths to enhance work readiness and successful employment.

 

  • Promote program through outreach to the community. 

 

  • Develop contacts and provide job development. Meet with the potential employers to discuss employment qualifications with the goal of increasing successful placement.

 

  • Escort the participant to the site prior to interview or actual start date.

 

  • Provide off site CRS and ORS services designed to promote community integration, skills needed to improve independence including travel training, benefits training and money management.

 

  • Available as needed & must be flexible to provide 24 hour, 7 days per week telephone coverage for clients enrolled in treatments as prescribed by Agency policy and procedure.  Also, must be able to travel using public transportation.  
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelors Degree.

 

  • Attend  related PROS trainings for rehab and recovery, collaborative documentation, WRAP, IDDT, family psychoeducation, wellness self management, rehab readiness, benefits training, cultural competence and motivational interviewing.

 

  • The designated Vocational Specialist will receive weekly, on the job training and supervision at the CCNS WOW program located in Brooklyn for a period of at least three months.

 

  • Ability to evaluate and intervene in crisis situations.

 

  • Must be able to facilitate groups.

 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

  •  Must be comfortable with public speaking & have excellent oral and written communication skills.
