Responsibilities: 

  

  • Completes pre-admission psychological assessment, discharge summaries and all required psychological updates such as for annual IDT.
  • Coordinates psychological treatment and in conjunction with the IDT residential staff, facilitates communication among members of treatment team and family / correspondent.
  • Maintains accurate, timely documentation of psychological treatments, such as behavior support plans and/or counseling for resident consumers.
  • Train and observe direct care staff around implementation of behavior modification plans and behavioral interventions.
  • Participates in Human Rights Committee, Admissions, and Discharge Committee, and Incident Review Committee as needed.
  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining program plans pertaining to psychological, behavioral issues of each consumer, and providing in-service training of staff for psychological and clinically related issues.
  • Perform tasks related to operating as a team player including attending Clinical Team Meetings and Interdisciplinary Team meetings as required.
Qualifications: 

 

  • Master degree or equivalent credits in Psychology from accredited school.
  • Training and/or 1 year experience working with MR/DD Population.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Ability to teach skills to individuals and groups.
  • Available to work days/evenings/weekends, as needed.
