Affordable Housing
Homes for Low-Income Neighbors
Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens provides a home for individuals, families, elderly people with low incomes and others who have been displaced by economic hardship.
Catholic Charities Progress of Peoples Development Corporation
Since 1975, Catholic Charities Progress of Peoples (CCPOP) Development Corporation, the affordable housing developer of Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, has served as a catalyst for growth in many neighborhoods. Our aim is to transform vacant land and buildings into affordable housing units and, as a result, transform the lives of individuals and families.
Through CCPOP, Catholic Charities is also able to provide quality affordable housing with a vital link to social services, instilling a sense of home, community and family to its residents.
CCPOP has completed over 3,000 units of housing, including 2,700 units of housing for low-income older adults, 510 units of family housing and 284 units of supportive housing for formerly homeless individuals. Over 90% of all tenants in our affordable housing have incomes below 30% of annual median income.
Catholic Charities Progress for Peoples Corporation offers Family Housing, federally subsidized independent living for low income seniors (62+) and mobility impaired adults, and Supportive Housing for the Formerly Homeless.
Please support our vital work with a tax-deductible donation today. We place the highest value on the stewardship of your gifts, with 91 cents of every dollar going directly into services that help our neighbors in need.
