The Flatbush Addiction Treatment Center provides outpatient substance abuse services to adult men and women 18 and over. The primary goals of the program are to help individuals establish sobriety and reduce the negative consequences of alcohol and substance abuse and dependence. Additionally, the program is designed to help those suffering from addiction to function more independently and with an enhanced sense of self in the larger community. Services provided include individual therapy and group therapy covering the following areas: relapse prevention, anger management, health education, art therapy, alcohol and drug education, dual-diagnosis groups, employment services and parenting skills. AA, NA and DWI groups are also provided on site.
Applicants must be 18 and over with an Axis 1 diagnosis of alcohol or drug abuse or dependence. They must be able to benefit from outpatient services and demonstrate an ability to remain abstinent on an outpatient basis.
