With
the generous support of our volunteers, Catholic Charities is
able to serve our over 180 programs throughout Brooklyn and Queens.
Volunteers enable us to fulfill our mission
by giving the gift of themselves.
We
have volunteer opportunities for individuals, groups, seniors
and young adults. A list of current volunteer opportunities
is available on the right side of this page. You can
also contact our office or visit volunteermatch.org
(see below for more information on why we use volunteermatch.org).
If you are interested in a one-day service project for a group,
please contact our office to find out more information.
We
encourage creativity in developing volunteer assignments and look
forward to your ideas on how you might be able to utilize your
skills and expertise as a volunteer in Catholic Charities of Brooklyn
& Queens.
Here
are just a few ways you can help:
- Become
a Big Brother/Big Sister
- Mentor
teenagers
- Support
staff at special events
- Teach
computer skills to seniors
- Assist
the developmentally disabled on group outings
-

a friend to a mentally ill person

the teacher in a child care
- Provide
clerical assistance to any program
- Lead
a class on your area of interest (art, dance, theater, cooking,
etc.).
Catholic
Charities utilizes VolunteerMatch.org
