Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens at a Glance

As one of the largest multi-service charitable organizations in the nation, CCBQ is pleased to provide care and support to over 110,000 of our neighbors in Brooklyn and Queens each year.

Here are some examples of our work being done on the ground during 2012 thanks to our dedicated staff and volunteers.

3,000,000 meals prepared for those in need

1,577,000 food packages distributed to the hungry

110,000 people helped throughout Brooklyn and Queens

14,000 people given assistance at community centers

8,300 older adults given comprehensive services through neighborhood senior centers

7,900 individuals in prevention, refugee resettlement, and family and youth programs

5,500 adults receiving behavioral health services

3,750 affordable housing units for seniors, families and the formerly homeless

1,800 children in early childhood programs

650 persons with developmental disabilities provided housing and support services

303 residents cared for at our nursing and rehabilitation center in historic Coney Island
