CATHOLIC CHARITIES
Brooklyn & Queens
REACCREDITED
Robert Siebel, Executive Director/CEO of Catholic Charities Brooklyn
& Queens is pleased to announce that the agency has received
notification of reaccreditation from the Council on Accreditation
of Services for Families and Children (COA). This recognition
attests that an organization meets the highest national standards
and is delivering the best quality services to the community it
serves.
COA is an international, independent, not-for-profit accrediting
body of social and behavioral healthcare services. Catholic Charities
Brooklyn & Queens joins COA’s Community of Excellence,
which includes over 1,000 private and public organizations that
serve over 6 million children, individuals and families. The accreditation
process involves an in-depth examination of agency standards,
including a full array of child, family and behavioral healthcare
services, financial management, employee assistance, mental health
counseling, substance abuse treatment, foster care, and a host
of other service areas.
Catholic Charities Brooklyn & Queens sponsors 170 programs
throughout the boroughs of Brooklyn & Queens, providing humane
social services to support families and individuals. These services
cover the entire cycle of life from daycare, Head Start, after-school
programs and teen peer groups, residences and services for families,
seniors and persons with mental and developmental disabilities
to community centers, crisis intervention, homeless services,
food pantries and bereavement services.
Robert Siebel states, “Catholic Charities is gratified
to have met the highest standards in its delivery of services
to the communities of Brooklyn & Queens. This accreditation
is a testament to the excellence of services with which we seek
to serve our neighbors throughout the diocese.”
