CATHOLIC CHARITIES BROOKLYN & QUEENS
SOUTHWEST QUEENS SENIOR SERVICES
SUPPORTS SOCIAL WORK MONTH 2004

Catholic Charities Brooklyn & Queens Southwest Queens Senior Services is supporting Social Work Month 2004 by recognizing its case managers, senior center directors, recreation coordinator, entitlement specialist and others at a reception on March 11, 2004, at 87-04 88th Avenue, Woodhaven, Queens. New York State Assemblywoman Audrey Pheffer will present them with a certificate of recognition. These dedicated workers do their utmost to promote independence, autonomy and dignity for older people, and to help families effectively deal with long-term care responsibilities.
Southwest Queens Senior Services provides a broad range of services to the well and frail elderly, such as case management, homecare, and transportation, which encourage independence and allow seniors to remain in their homes and communities. Each of its four senior centers offers full range services that include hot nutritious lunch, health screenings, housing assistance, support groups, ESL & citizenship classes, volunteer opportunities, exercise, day & overnight trips and much more recreational activities. For more information about the Southwest Queens Senior Services, please contact Barbara Tawil at 718-847-9200.
