PROGRAM MANAGER OF HEAD START
RECEIVES
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

For her outstanding dedication and steadfast commitment to improving the quality of life for the people of Kings County, Brooklyn, Ms. Laura Lo, Program Manager of Madeleine Jones Head Start, received the Community Service Award from the Office of the Kings County District Attorney. An additional honor, Ms. Lo was also given a City Council Citation by the City of New York. The Awards Dinner was recently held at Coney Island’s Cultural Celebration in observance of the various multicultural holidays in February, including Black History Month, Chinese New Year, and Mardi Gras.

Ms. Lo has been working at Madeleine Jones Head Start for 10 years. Devoted to caring for children, she continually seeks out and creates opportunities for the children and their families through education, parent participation and community involvement. Ms. Lo earned her Montessori Certification from the Catholic Charities Caritas Training Center in 1999. She has her New York State Permanent Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education.

Catholic Charities Brooklyn & Queens commends Ms. Lo on her years of leadership in the Brooklyn community and congratulates her on receiving this honor.
