RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the operations of a Day Care Center including recruiting staff and families for the program.
- Supervises all functional areas of the program.
- Provides technical assistance to staff to help create and maintain a learning environment that promotes children’s physical, emotional, social, cognitive and creative development.
- Establishes positive relationships with parents / communities to encourage parents and community involvement.
- Holds staff accountable for providing quality services to children and their families.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MA – Early Childhood Education
- NYS Certification (N-6); Montessori Certification or commitment to complete Agency’s Montessori two years training program.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience in pre-school setting, preferably Day Care.
- Minimum three years supervisory experience.
- Excellent communicator, able to display initiative and creativity; a team player.
