DEPARTMENT: CENTER FOR PREGNANT WOMEN
TITLE: SOCIAL WORKER

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in cooperation with staff, volunteers, interns in the execution of assigned tasks including but not exclusive of case service coordination that incorporates Compilation of Demographic Data, screening, System Entry Risk/Needs Assessment, Service/Referral Planning, internal collaborations or community linkage, Follow-up regarding service plan goals and objectives, and case closure.
Provide short-term and crisis counseling to pregnant women; help women facing an unwanted pregnancy make the decision to carry the baby to term.
Assist Director through task supervision of Bachelor level Case Manager.
Develop internal and external linkages while engaging in community building activities and promoting program services through outreach initiatives.
Work collaboratively with other Catholic Charities programs and participate in team program planning, staff meetings, case reviews and group services with other Community Center staff.
On a rotating basis, have availability to respond to pregnant women in crisis on a 24 hour cycle
Ability to work evenings/weekends and travel to various sites to provide services when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree in Social Work or related field.
Proficiency in professional social work generalist practice skills.
Bilingual Spanish skills strongly preferred.
Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
Organizational skills to coordinate multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Independent work skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and transactional skills.
Ability to convey and participate in team oriented work and promote and practice the Catholic Charities collaborative framework
Developed computer skills and competencies in software and data base use.
Commitment to the vision, mission and values of Catholic Charities particularly as they relate to natural family planning and respect of life.
