DEPARTMENT: COMMUNITY CENTERS – WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
TITLE: EMPLOYMENT COACH
CATEGORY: REGULAR / FULL TIME
PROGRAM NAME COMMUNITY CENTERS – WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the implementation and management of the VESID supported employment contract.
- Identify, recruit and assess potential Consumers.
- Assist in preparation of VESID applications.
- Counsel potential Consumers on entitlements and provide entitlement advocacy when needed.
- Work with employers to identify supported employment job placements.
- Match Consumers with job placements.
- Provide all necessary supports through both individual and group counseling to enable Consumers to Adjust to and thrive in a competitive employment position.
- Identify long term supports for Consumers who complete the program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSW, BA, BS in Human Service Field.
- Bi-Lingual Spanish a plus.
- Experience in the job training / placement field.
- Comfortable working with vulnerable populations.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to travel.
